Toronto Outdoor Picture Show @ Christie Pits

The most memorable film experiences are communal. Sitting at home with a laptop doesn’t bring the same enjoyment of each thrill, scare and laugh as being seated with others in a darkened movie theatre or under the stars.

That’s why one of University-Rosedale’s most popular summertime traditions is the Toronto Outdoor Picture Show. Lay down a blanket, sit back, and enjoy a night at the movies in Christie Pits Park at this free and accessible event. Happening each Sunday from July 7th to August 25th, the theme of this year’s programme is “On the Job”, with a slate of films celebrating workers, their backdrops, and how our work affects our lives and forms communities.
